Life Goes On...

Life may have a reason for everything,
But has never a reason to stop,
Whatever be the reason,
Life goes on...

Time keeps passing by,
Dreams keep flying high,
But life'd never stop or look back,
It just goes on...

Emotions may make you frown,
Time may break you down,
But whatever be the reason,
Life goes on...

I'm Still a Kid, I Know...

I'm still a kid, I know,
But you're the one who can help me grow...

I fall down bitterly everytime I try,
But you're the one who always says, "Better don't cry"...

I, at times, look at the world blindfolded,
But you're the one who tells me that it may make me wounded...

I'm often rude to you, I know,
But you're the one who has never made me feel low...

I look around to see if somebody's there with me,
And you're the one who has never disappointed me...

I get to the bottom of my life and end goofed up,
But you're the one who has never let me give up...

And that's the only reason why,
I'm still a kid,
But you know,
You're the one who understands me and helps me grow...

Dedicated to my best friend...just tried to pen down a few lines saying what she means to me...

For a Moment...

All that I do, is for a moment,
Just one single moment, and in it lies the torment...

For a moment, I shall cry,
Or think to hate and destroy...

For a moment, I will memorise,
The way you always mesmerize...

For a moment, I shall sit alone,
And peep into this painful soul...

For a moment, from you, I shall be away,
But will never go far off the way...

And then, one day for a moment, you'll need me,
But, I may not be that close, you see...

Are We Free?

With tears welling down
from innocent eyes,
Illness and suffering
in the atmosphere,
And people starving for food...
Are we free?

With anarchy on our
blessed native land,
And people with
a load of remorse,
All the creatures apprehended...
Are we free?

With the burden of
violence on our heads,
With agony and hatred
dwelling and surrounding,
Fretful and bewildered minds...
Are we free?

With obscure ally
and reconciliation,
With fetters of iron
in wounded hands,
We walk reproaching ourselves...
Are we free?

With thousands of souls possessing
a quest for tranquility,
And forces suppressing
hatred among people,
Undying pretence all around...
Are we free?

With hearts crying for
freedom from illness,
And souls longing
for true love,
We guarantee 61 long years of freedom...
But are we really 'Free'?

This one is for the terrorism and hatred spreading in the minds of people in the world, for all those who've been longing to live life in peace, We freed ourselves from the rule of the Britishers years back, I put forth my question to everyone readin' this...Are we really 'Free'?

Just Wish That...

Tears 've frozen in my eyes,
Words 've sealed inside my lips,
Thoughts are clogging me from inside,
And so, here I stand,
With nothing to say
And nothing to hear...

Guilt is overrunning my heart,
My hands are shaking like an aspen leaf,
Grief has crippled my eyelids,
And so, here I stand,
With nothing to say
And nothing to hear...

You may be the reason behind all this,
But I know you're the cure too,
And so, here I stand,
With nothing to say
And nothing to hear
Just wish that someday you'd come near...

Why Should I Grow Up Now?

When you gave me a hand-
Assuring love and guidance,
At every walk in life;
A shoulder-
That fed comfort and understanding,
Whenever I grieved and felt low;
A yoke of words-
That cured all my wounds,
When I was in pain;
Why should I grow up now?

When you gave me the roots-
I needed at every step of life,
Even when I tumbled down while crawling;
A heart-
That loved me and shed tears for me,
Even when I was enraged;
And something yet so special-
You held my finger and taught me,
How to walk unshod on roses and thorns;
Why should I grow up now?

You chime in that I need to grow up:
But, I am still a tenderfoot,
Who falls in every endeavor to rise,
Who yearns for your finger to roll out,
And defy all challenges without cowardice.
You acceded to escort me on every road,
I am off the beaten track without you;
How could you leave me deserted in the dust?
I would always need you to wing my flight,
So why should I Grow Up Now?
